ATI NCLEX Reviews from Reddit
I passed NGN in 85 Q’s using only ATI

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience since it was hard for me to find anyone who solely used ATI as their NCLEX study tool.
A little background. I went to a technical school/junior college to get my ASN. I took my ATI exit exam on April 28th, pinned on May 3rd, and passed my NCLEX on May 12th. I didn’t study at all between the exit exam and my pinning. I began studying once I signed up on May 4th. I was an average student. No A’s in any of my classes, and I worked part time on nights.
My school used ATI throughout the entire program. So we had proctored exams after each 7 week semester, plus lots of practice tests and quizzes in between. We also had the 3 day review with an in person ATI instructor before our exit exam. I passed that with a 98% probability of passing. I took my ATI exams seriously and didn’t use any of the Quizlets because I didn’t want to do a disservice to myself and actually wanted to try to learn the content.
Once I signed up for the NCLEX I emailed my ATI instructor/educator and set up to finish virtual ATI in 7 days. I completed that, plus I did boardvitals CAT and a couple of 25 pharm quizzes here and there. I read each rationale, and reviewed content in the pink book if I missed a question and wanted more info. I studied about 4-5 hours a day. Okay maybe sometimes less, I was mentally done.
I am so happy with my decision! I didn’t want to pay anymore money for Uworld or Archer. I was nervous because I know a lot of people hate ATI. Uworld, Archer, and Hurst all have practice runs that you can use as well if you don’t want to pay for them either.
I do believe my school prepared us well, but ATI was a huge help. I think any study service will be beneficial, as long as you take the rationales seriously. The NCLEX felt like I was just taking another ATI exam.
One big tip is to get your anxiety and stress under control! It really impairs your thought process and I believe hinders people more than lack of knowledge.
You can do this! You studied hard for 2/4 years 💜
Conclusion
Virtual-ATI has a larger variety of study materials than most competitors at a very reasonable price, which help to make it a more appealing choice comparatively. However, their NCLEX prep program offers so many resources to study for and pass the exam that it may cause some students may feel overwhelmed. Fortunately, the use of personal coaches should help gently nudge students onto the path to success.
Their audio PowerPoint presentations are outdated but the plethora of other study materials offered by ATI more than makes up for it. Some flexibility is also offered for students who need to take a short break from studying but not so much to avoid fees entirely. In summation, this course is a good fit for self-motivated students and auditory learners looking for a comprehensive review course with feedback from professionals.
